Wedding Stationery – Design Process

Your wedding invitation is the first “sneak preview” of your wedding day, and I want the design process to be as uncomplicated as possible (I know how stressful wedding planning can be!).

Below you will find an outline of the process:

Step 1 – Complete the questionnaire:   Once you’ve completed the enquiry form here, I will send you a questionnaire so I can understand exactly what your requirements are. I will be in touch with you within a day or two of receiving your answers to clarify any points, or I will request that we quickly chat via zoom.

Step 2 – Proposal and retainer:  When I have a full understanding of what you need, I will forward a design proposal to you.  This is normally within three working days, but might be a bit longer if I need information from specialist suppliers.  If you are happy with the proposal, I require a 50% retainer fee to secure your slot.

Step 3 – Let’s get started!  I will ask you to complete a document with your requested wording for your stationery – not to worry, I will send you some examples for everything needed!  I will also send you a mood board and colour palette – you will have the opportunity to review and make changes.

Step 4 – Design Phase:  Let the design work begin (my favourite part!)  Within 10 working days, you will receive an electronic proof of your design, and will have the opportunity to make changes (up to THREE revision rounds). Any additional revision rounds will be charged at R250.00 each.

Step 5 – Final Design Presented:  When all the stationery pieces have been reviewed and edited you will be asked to sign off on the designs.  Once I have received your approval, your remaining balance will be due before production can begin.

Step 6 – Production:  Printing and assembly can take up to 4 weeks depending on your order size and complexity. And then…..

We are done!  I will notify you once your order is ready. If you are in the Cape Town area you can collect your order, or it can be couriered to you for an additional fee.
